A very Masterful 19th Century French School Brown Ink And Grey Wash Drawing Of A Horse rider.

This striking drawing is directly inspired by the wonderful Horse rendition of Parrocel during the XVIII century. The same wonderful strokes of Ink depict the beautiful bouncing horse, who seems to be dancing in his stride, his mane flying.
The lightness of the execution talks of the talent of the artist…
The rider is beautifully rendered as well, with his large hat highlighting his features.

The drawing seems to be illustrating a joust, with another rider in the distance.

The 19th Century frame is in gilt wood and perfectly preserved.

The drawing is 8.16 inches high and 7.08 inches wide.
The frame is 14.25 inches high and 12.50 inches wide.
This beautiful cavalier was acquired in Toulon in September 2018
