Lovely Italian School XVII Century Brown Ink Drawing

This charming piece depicts a fight taking place at the gate of a Palace in Italy.
The lively scene is drawn in Pencil and Brown ink along with a brown wash.

The artist concentrated on the movements of the opponents and their clothes infusing them with life, and leaving the building behind only lightly drawn.

You can almost hear the exchanges of the different parties who are dressed in period closing typical of the 17th century.
It is a wonderful work of art, typical of the period.

The Drawing is in a Period frame topped by a wooden lightly gilded ribbon that adds depth and balance to the piece.

The Drwing measures 3.97 inches high x 2.75 width.
