Born in Marseille in 1941 to Corsican parents, he soon attended the École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille.
Drawing closer to the masters of the Provençal school, he perfected his skills and exhibited his first paintings in Marseille in 1958.
His career was launched, and he traveled throughout France and Europe to exhibit his works.
In 1971, he exhibited for the first time in the United States. Success was immediate, and exhibitions followed in Washington, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Albuquerque.
Then, in 1980, Japan welcomed him with exhibitions in Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Nagano, and Sapporo.
An internationally recognized and critically acclaimed artist, Quilici has created his own incredibly modern style.
This view of Brittany, taken on northern shores of the province, is unusual for this artist, who preferred the warm colors of the Mediterranean shores.
However, he masterfully captured the effect of low tide in this bay.
