This Beautiful Original Italian Old Master Study Of Roman Soldiers Shows a wonderful draughtsmanship.

Comprised of two scenes, depicting Roman Soldiers exercising, they show a confidence in the trait and a great perspective pointing to a Master.
Though meant to be a study, the sheer strength of the two scenes makes them Masterpieces of their own.

The details given to the flow of the garments and the movements of the men are truly exceptional.
The powerful ink strokes and Ink wash shading are typical of the Italian Renaissance period.

There is a Collector’s Mark on the lower left-hand side but it is too faded to be identified.

The Drawing Measures: 10″ x 7″
The Frame Measures: 18″ x 14 1/2″
