Charming 19th Century French School Pencil Drawing of A Sleeping Cherub

Soundly sleeping with his head resting on his hand, this lovely Cupid is caught in a very sweet moment.
His little right wing is slightly folded while his hand grasps what looks like a child toy, representing a little dragon and a couple of roses….
His quiver and arrows lay abandoned on the side.

The drawing is lovely, mainly done in Lead pencil, with Red Chalk or Sanguine used to highlight the drawing along with White Chalk,

The frame is 19th century, gilt wood and in fine condition.

The drawing is absolutely charming!

The Frame measures 21.65 inches by 16.50 inches
The Drawing measures 12.99 inches by 8.66 inches

It was purchased in Paris in March 2018.
