Born in 1907 in Nice, in the South of France, Charles Pollaci honed his skills alongside local painters.
Eager to further his education, he decided to move to Paris, where he attended the Académie Frochot in Montmartre, under the tutelage of Breuillaud and Mascart.
From 1945 onwards, he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants, as well as at the Salon de la Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.

He also displayed his works in the prestigious Parisian galleries Durand-Ruel and Wildenstein.
His talent extended beyond France, as he also exhibited internationally, in Germany, Egypt, Switzerland, and the USA.
A confident artist, he delighted in depicting the landscapes along the Seine between Paris and Normandy.
His profound love for the river eventually led him to Honfleur, where he settled permanently.
A dedicated landscape painter, he paints only from life, braving the elements to capture the essence of the moment.

He transcribes his sensitivity onto the canvas with absolute sincerity, giving rise to pure and poignant works imbued with profound serenity.
The banks of the Seine are one of our painter’s favorite subjects, always on the lookout for a particular light or atmosphere.
Capturing a ray of winter sunshine, caressing the whitish film left on the banks, he manages to seize and convey its subtle nuances, which intertwine to create an atmosphere…
The moment is frozen, speaking to us and placing us on this deserted towpath where time seems to have stood still for a moment…
